We take extreme care in crafting each marking or grinding path on our sculptures so that we can achieve the perfect amount of light and reflection to bring the final piece to life. You will notice the pattern move and evolve as you rotate the sculpture or walk from one side to the other. Most of the metal grind patterns we create have an incredible holographic effect – the actual texture, ripples, waves and layers in the surface are carefully exaggerated through our creative techniques. Most viewers seeing the work for the first time approach the panels in awe, which is quickly followed by disbelief as they gently drag a finger across the surface thinking the metal will be bumpy, wavy, pliable, liquidy, etc. Some even think they can reach right through the metal!
