Description
This piece was inspired by the organic nature of flowing currents and the magnificent result of interaction. The swirling current patterns are etched into the stainless steel panel using various grinding and sanding techniques, and the colors are created using the reaction of various chemicals with acrylic paints and the application of fire to permanently scorch the paints and metal. The surface is coated with UV resistant clear coat that casts a gentle sparkle from the suspension of minute silver particles.
The durable substrate and automotive clear coat finish make this piece easy to clean fingerprints or dust simply by wiping with a soft, clean cotton cloth.
